In partnership with the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, the State Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki and museum educators, artists, musicians and composers, the Onassis Stegi-Athens organised a 4–month educational programme for students of vocational high schools aiming to bring students in contact with contemporary art and experience sound and visual arts.

The programme was inspired by the "Creative Workshops" (Ateliers de la création) that have been staged in France since 2010 in dozens of vocational high schools and colleges on the initiative of the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) and the Pompidou Centre (Musée National d'Art Moderne).

In Athens, students from 2nd Vocational School of Sivitanidios Public Arts and Crafts, Department of Computer Science specializing in Computer and Network Applications  and the 2nd Vocational High School of Nea Smyrni visited the exhibition “Theorimata” at the National Museum of Contemporary Art and got inspired by the artworks of Nikos Podias "Inside Out" and Nikos Papadopoulos "Ocean Rock Garden".

In Thessaloniki, students from the 1st Vocational High School of Ampelokipoi and the 1st Vocational High School of Neapoli visited the State Museum of Contemporary Art and got inspired by the artwork of Mikhail Matyushin "Musical/Visual Construction" (1918) and by the artwork of Alexander Rodchenko "Expressive Rhythm" (1943), both part of the Costaki Collection “Russian Avant-Garde”

The final presentation of their art works is scheduled for Friday 11th of May at 11:00 at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens and on Friday 18th of May at 11:00 at State Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki.
