International collaborations come in many different forms, from co-productions to residencies, from international showcases to peer mentoring.The Interfaces network works with a second circle of international professionals, that contributes to promote and disseminate the actions developed through the network.

 

Centre Iannis Xenakis (FRANCE)

The Centre Iannis Xenakis is a continuation of Les Ateliers UPIC, the association founded in 1985 by Iannis Xenakis and Maurice Fleuret, to promote the machine for composing music by drawing, invented by Iannis Xenakis in 1977, called UPIC (Unité Polyagogique Informatique du CEMAMu).

 

Theatrum Mundi (UK)

Theatrum Mundi is a network of people from the performing and visual arts, the built environment disciplines, from across the academy and community and social collectives. Based in London, it activates projects, meetings, and research in cities around the world.

 

Tuned City

Tuned City is a platform researching relations between sound and space in the urban context. The project draws the traditions of critical discussion about urban space within the architecture and urban planning discourse–as well as its strategies and working methods–into the context of sound and listening.

 

Medea Electronique (GREECE)

Medea Electronique was founded in 2006 and consists of creative people who share the mood for innovation, moving in the greater field of contemporary art. Active in fields such as music, animation, multimedia, art installations,interactive technologies, and multimedia event production, the members of the group merge separate research and practice fields in an effort to develop a particular style.

 

Syros Sound Meetings  (GREECE)

Launched in the summer of 2012, Syros Sound Meetings are an initiative for intensive site-specific workshops and exploratory group meetings, held at the recently established Syros Institute in Ano Syros, Cyclades, Greece. Sound Meetings comprise workshops and artist residencies scheduled to take place one to three times a year, and revolving around three broad themes and the intersections between them:

*Composition & sound design
*Field recordings

Diazoma (GREECE)

Established in Athens since 2008, Diazoma is a movement of people sharing the same passion for the Greek cultural heritage and whose mission is to help protect, restore and promote monuments, especially ancient theaters. Its aim is to breathe new life into these masterpieces of antiquity - built to serve as hosts to other masterpieces - so that they become the high places of cultural and intellectual enlightment they once were. We invite citizens around the world to take part in our efforts to preserve and revive these theaters, which have witnessed the birth of drama as well as that of democratic ideals.
