News

The European University Cyprus, as part of the “Interfaces” project, is announcing a call for applications for 12 residencies for electronic music artists. The residencies will take place in July and August of 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The themes of the residencies and their expected outcomes are, therefore, articulated in relation to these actions. We particularly welcome applications where new media can be presented in public spaces, museums and streets as part of artistic interventions. Concepts that relate directly to Cyprus and proposals that aim to create new site-specific works are particularly welcome. Works that show connection to the “Living Museums” project as well as the “Urban Music Boxes and Troubadours” project will also be given special attention. Please visit http://interfaces.euc.ac.cy for more information on these projects.

Successful applicants will be provided with a one-month residency in their own private 2bedroom, fully furnished apartment near European University Cyprus. Artists must present and perform their work in Cyprus as part of the collaborative experience, resulting in at least one public presentation. European University Cyprus will connect all artists with local foundations and organizations and help provide, where possible, all necessary technical support towards the performance of the proposed projects.
